Netherlands' 13-run upset of South Africa secures India's place in the semifinals.

When Netherlands defeated South Africa by 13 runs in the T20 World Cup in Adelaide on Sunday, it was one of their biggest triumphs in cricket history.

The victory guaranteed India's entry into the semifinals. Netherlands was given the bat and used a team effort from its top order to compile 158 for 4.

Tom Cooper struck 35 off 19 balls, and Colin Ackermann earned the most points for the Netherlands with an undefeated 41 off 26 balls.

When it came to protecting the target, Netherlands bowlers excelled and held South Africa to 145 for 8, with Brandon Glover (3/9) taking off three hitters.

With a 25-run knock, Rilee Rossouw led the way for South Africa in scoring.
